How it Works











This is the inner workings of my toilet at home, which is even more stripped back and modern than the diagrams above.
When the button is pressed it opens a hole on the flapper for a certain amount of time, a smaller amount for a smaller flush, letting less water through and the whole tank empties for a bigger flush. The fill tube carries water from the houses supply and refills the tank.
